Trevor believes that no two horses learn the same, and their training shouldn’t be treated that way. Rather than following a rigid, step by step program, he molds his methods to best benefit each individual horse.
He sees too often horses held back by systems that don’t allow them to advance until they’ve perfected one step. While there are countless ways to train a horse, Trevor stands firmly on the belief that the most effective approach comes from listening to what they need and working off of that.
With good timing, keeping them confident and mentally engaged, he ensures they feel successful as they learn. The result is a willing, solid teammate with a strong foundation and the confidence to handle whatever job lies ahead.

I had been talking to the Deals for the past few years regarding training for my coming 3 year old. When I first started talking to Trevor about Curlee (he had just been born in 2022). Trevor said he would love to work with me & my colt so in April of 2025 Trevor & Joci picked him up. I wanted a foundation to build from the ground up, I didn’t want any rides on him until after a solid 30 days on the ground. Trevor did that! Then he spent the next 90 days with Curlee under saddle, on the trails, downtown, or whatever he thought he needed training/work with. Trevor and Joci kept in touch with me weekly but every few weeks Joci would send me an updated video of how Curlee was doing. Trevor would make phone calls to me every couple weeks checking in to see if I wanted something specific to work on etc. I got Curlee back in July of 2025, He has been a dream. When Curlee came home, I couldn’t ride him for 10 days (which was hard) I was nervous that all of Trevor’s hard work would go to waste, but I took Curlee on a poker ride (16 miles in the mountains) and he didn’t skip a beat, you would have thought he has been doing this for years. That poker ride was very intense, wash outs, steep terrain, rocks, ditches, water crossings, anything you can think of and Curlee didn’t stop to question me or what we were doing, he just did it. Trevor truly did everything I asked him to do plus some. I would highly recommend anyone talking or thinking of sending a horse for training to Trevor, to do it. His knowledge is great, his understanding of a horse & desire of making a solid horse for someone is unbelievable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Trevor and Joci have a top notch program in every way. They are flexible and easy to work with and you get every penny of training that you pay for. My horses received excellent care and stayed “trained” even after coming home. I can tell that they didn’t just get loped around for 20 minutes and then unsaddled.
